Job summary

Sonoma State University is seeking a Project Rebound Program Director to lead the recruitment and success of formerly incarcerated students transitioning into higher education. You will supervise staff, coordinate wraparound services, and manage program operations and budgets in partnership with campus and community resources.

You will advocate for underrepresented populations and ensure services align with university policies while supporting students’ academic and career outcomes.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible professional experience in educational or student support services, with at least one year in program management or coordination, including 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social work, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to support and advocate for underrepresented and underserved populations, particularly formerly incarcerated individuals.
• Experience building partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; familiarity with PeopleSoft and EAB Navigate preferred.
