Job summary

Sonoma State University is seeking a Program Rebound Program Director to provide leadership and management for initiatives supporting formerly incarcerated students entering higher education. You will supervise staff and student personnel while coordinating wraparound services and ensuring policy compliance.

The role partners with campus and community resources to advocate for participants, managing program operations, planning, and budgets across multiple interdependent projects.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible professional experience in educational or student support services.
• At least one year in program management or coordination, including supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social work, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Ability to advocate for underrepresented populations, especially formerly incarcerated individuals.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and success initiatives for formerly incarcerated students transitioning to higher education.
• Supervise staff and student personnel and oversee program operations.
• Coordinate wraparound student support services with campus and community partners.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and manage budgets and operational needs.
