Job summary

GSK is seeking a Director, Real World Data Strategy and External Partnerships Lead to orchestrate external data partnerships, deliver insights and models, and ensure maximum scientific value from RWD in R&D and portfolio growth.

The role requires advanced degrees, leadership across global teams, and a strong track record in RWD strategies, data governance, and regulatory alignment, with a focus on data quality and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in life sciences or quantitative field.
• Experience in data strategy ownership and execution for drug development.
• Leadership skills to mobilise stakeholders with clear communication.
• Experience with RWD sources and partners across geographies.
• Experience delivering evidence generation, in-silico modelling or data products.
• Portfolio project management and organisational skills.
• Understanding regulatory and payer guidance for RWD use in decision making.
• Knowledge of FHIR, tokenisation, data linkage, CDMs and related concepts.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver Real World Data partnerships aligned to portfolio strategy.
• Maintain inventory of data assets driving evidence generation and modelling.
• Provide strategic updates to senior leaders and govern partnerships.
• Partner with Translational Sciences for linkage to biobanks and cohorts.
• Ensure data quality and regulatory standards for RWD and AI workflows.
• Champion data linkage opportunities and regulatory-grade traceability of RWD.
