Job summary

AMLI Residential is seeking a Director, Transactions & Diligence to lead acquisitions and financings from LOI through closing. Hybrid work environment with cross-functional collaboration across Legal, Investments, Finance, and onsite teams.

You will oversee due diligence, risk assessment, post-closing activities, and process improvements, including exploring AI and automation to streamline workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years in real estate transactions preferred.
• Strong knowledge of acquisitions, due diligence, title and survey, financing, and closings.
• Multifamily real estate experience strongly preferred.
• Understanding of debt and equity financing structures and closing requirements.
• Excellent project and transaction management with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of real estate acquisitions and financings from LOI through closing.
• Coordinate among AMLI teams, leadership, lenders, attorneys, and partners.
• Manage transaction timelines, deliverables, dates, and open issues.
• Communicate status, risks, and decisions to senior leadership.
• Ensure governance and documentation procedures are followed.
• Assemble and coordinate multidisciplinary due diligence teams and calls.
• Coordinate lender due diligence and flow of docs for closings.
• Oversee title/survey procurement and closing coordination.
• Track closing conditions and address issues to avoid delays.
• Oversee post-closing obligations and related risk management.
• Develop scalable transaction processes and leverage AI/automation.
