Job summary

AMLI Residential is hiring a Director of Transactions & Diligence to lead real estate acquisitions and financings from LOI through closing. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and drive governance and risk management across acquisitions, debt, equity, and due diligence.

The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of title, survey, and lender interactions, and requires 7+ years in related roles. Hybrid work environment with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years of related experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, due diligence, and closing processes.
• Multifamily real estate experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead real estate acquisitions and financings from LOI to closing.
• Serve as central point of coordination among AMLI teams, leadership, counsel, lenders, and sellers.
• Manage transaction timelines, deliverables, dates, and open issues.
• Communicate transaction status, risks, and decisions to team and senior leadership.
• Ensure governance and documentation procedures are followed.
• Assemble and coordinate multidisciplinary due diligence teams.
• Lead weekly status calls and coordinate site visits and onsite reviews.
• Coordinate lender due diligence and debt/equity closings.
• Oversee post-closing requirements and risk management.
• Develop and improve transaction policies and processes, exploring AI and automation.
