Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Director of Preconstruction for Technology and Life Sciences projects based in Raleigh. The role leads preconstruction strategy, estimating, and client engagement for complex pharmaceutical, biotech, and advanced manufacturing programs across the Southeast.

You will guide GMP development, budgeting, and cost modeling while mentoring teams and shaping market growth in North Carolina and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of general contracting experience.
• Experience in estimating, preconstruction, or executive project leadership.
• Strong background in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Advanced Manufacturing, Laboratory projects.
• Experience developing GMPs, conceptual estimates, and preconstruction strategies.
• Proven success in client relationships and business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction and estimating strategy for Technology & Life Sciences pursuits.
• Drive growth initiatives throughout North Carolina and the Southeast.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, developers, architects, and engineering partners.
• Oversee conceptual estimating, budgeting, GMP development, and cost modeling.
• Provide strategic guidance on procurement, risk management, scheduling, and constructability.
• Support pursuit teams on pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory, semiconductor, and advanced manufacturing projects.
• Develop and mentor high-performing preconstruction and estimating teams.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to ensure smooth transition from preconstruction to project execution.
• Support business development and expand market share in Technology & Life Sciences.
