Michael Page is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating, budgeting, and client-facing preconstruction efforts for a growing commercial construction organization in the Raleigh market.

This strategic role emphasizes building client relationships, presenting solutions, and helping secure new business opportunities through meticulous cost analysis, value engineering, and effective collaboration with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of preconstruction experience in commercial construction.
• Strong estimating and budgeting experience on large-scale projects.
• Experience working with clients and helping win business.
• Confident presentation and communication skills for leading client discussions.
• Experience collaborating with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of conceptual estimating, value engineering, and construction planning.
• Ability to manage multiple pursuits in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze project documents, such as blueprints and specifications, to determine project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and teams to develop accurate and competitive proposals.
• Maintain updated cost databases and pricing information for accurate forecasting.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure alignment with project needs and budgets.
• Provide input and recommendations to enhance project profitability and efficiency.
• Track and report project costs to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings to discuss project details and address any concerns.
