Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field; Master's preferred.
• 12–15+ years in software quality or test engineering.
• 5–8+ years in QE leadership, managing 40+ staff.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD platforms.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management.
• Expertise in functional and performance testing.

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Quality Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This leader will own the quality engineering vision across a complex technology environment, ensuring product quality, reliability, and governance standards are consistently met. The role will shape modern QE practices, strengthen incident response and audit readiness, and help drive an AI-enabled transformation in how quality is delivered. This is a highly visible leadership position that partners closely with cross-functional teams to align quality execution with broader business objectives.

Location: San Francisco, CA

Compensation: $204,500 – $295,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the product quality strategy across multiple systems
• Lead and develop a QE organization of more than 40 engineers and managers
• Drive AI-led transformation in quality engineering processes
• Define and enforce standard QE practices and quality gates
• Manage incident management processes for production quality issues
• Oversee governance and audit processes for product quality compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align quality strategy with business goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; Master's preferred
• 12-15+ years of experience in software quality or test engineering
• 5-8+ years of QE leadership experience, including managing teams of 40+
• Expertise in testing strategies including functional and performance testing
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD platforms
• Proficiency in observability tooling and incident management
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
