Ladders is seeking a Director of Quality Engineering for Primary Care to lead quality strategy and execution across a defined portfolio within a healthcare environment.

This remote role focuses on embedding quality in the lifecycle, driving modernization, automation-first practices, and AI-enabled capabilities to strengthen engineering outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in software engineering, quality engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in quality engineering or software delivery teams.
• Experience managing quality engineering across multiple agile teams or complex portfolios.
• Proven track record in quality engineering modernization and metrics-driven execution.
• Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and modern application architectures.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Quality Engineering, Primary Care to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This leader will own quality engineering strategy and execution for a defined portfolio within a healthcare environment, with a strong focus on improving delivery, stability, and operational rigor. The role partners closely with software delivery, engineering, and product teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle. It also drives modernization, automation-first practices, and the use of AI-enabled capabilities to strengthen engineering outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Compensation: $156,600 – $215,400 annually.
