Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Construction & Development seeks a Director of Projects to lead cost, schedule, and risk controls for a major capital program. You will shape project baselines, guide policy changes, and coordinate with CD Delivery Senior Management to drive efficient project delivery.

The role requires 10+ years of related experience, 5+ in management, and a strong track record in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 10+ years of experience.
• At least 5 years in a management or supervisory role in a large org.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect desirable.
• PMI-SP/VP/CCP/CPE certifications desirable.
• Experience leading complex projects and managing contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive cost, schedule, and risk management for programs.
• Oversee project delivery performance against baselines.
• Lead front-end loading to define projects and mitigate risk.
• Ensure effective project control practices across teams.
• Lead program and project control performance reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of schedule, cost, risk, and change management.
