Job summary

The People Concern in Los Angeles is seeking a Director, Project-based Housing to lead program operations across multiple sites, supervise Assistant Directors and Program Managers, and collaborate with funders to ensure client stability and positive outcomes.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Project Based Housing, you will direct operations, drive program improvements, manage reporting requirements, and ensure compliant, high-quality services for homeless individuals in project-based housing.

Qualifications

• Masters’ degree in mental health field (Social Work, MFT, or Psychology).
• Extensive experience with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
• Able to work in a high-tolerance Harm Reduction model with members who have multiple barriers.
• Valid CA Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight to the supportive service teams connected to housing programs to engage and provide stabilization and retention services.
• Interface with Housing Developers, Landlords, and Property Management companies to secure housing resources.
• Collaborate with Assistant Directors, Program Managers, and other Project-based team members to remove barriers to permanent housing.
• Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Assistant Directors and Program Managers.
• Provide clinical supervision to Project-based staff working towards clinical licensure.
• Lead and facilitate team meetings and case conferences of Project-based Housing management and program staff.
• Engage in Project-based program assessment to identify process gaps and create trainings or improvements.
• Evaluate crisis situations and provide crisis intervention or triage with staff, including LPS 5150 applications.
• Oversee and manage file review for grant documentation and eligibility.
• Conduct ongoing file review and client file management for QA and audits.
• Generate HMIS and CHAMP reports and provide corrective actions.
• Assist with program/financial audits.
• Liaise with Housing Authorities, DHS, DMH, and leadership.
• Assist with documentation for RFP processes.
• Ensure Annual Reviews are completed on time.
• Promote diverse and equitable hiring.
