Job summary

The People Concern seeks an Assistant Director of Project-based Housing to support the Director of Project-based Housing in overseeing designated sites, staff, and clients across Los Angeles County.

This full-time, onsite role requires strong clinical leadership, partnership with housing and developer teams, and ensuring data accuracy for reporting, with a focus on harm reduction and client-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mental health field (Social Work, MFT, or Psychology).
• Active clinical license in good standing with California Board of Behavioral Sciences for 2+ years.
• Experience with individuals with severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
• Ability to work in harm reduction models with multiple barriers.
• Knowledge of local and federal benefits and entitlements.
• Strong time management, communication, and cross-cultural skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop client-centered relationships using motivational interviewing and harm reduction.
• Provide clinical supervision to staff pursuing licensure and support leadership.
• Oversee program operations and coordination across sites in LA County.
• Collaborate with Property Management and Developer teams for integration of care.
• Ensure data entry into DHS CHAMP and HMIS databases for reporting.
