Job summary

CHAMP is redefining government-focused SaaS platforms from its Cleveland HQ, seeking a Director of Product Portfolio. You will create clarity and strategic direction across our product line, turning ambiguity into prioritized, evidence-based plans while guiding teams to maximize value for customers and the business.

In this role, you will partner with product and technical leaders, establish success criteria, and communicate the portfolio's strategy to sales and clients.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management, strategy, or leadership within a technology company.
• Proven success evaluating product opportunities, developing business cases, and guiding investment decisions across multiple products or complex platforms.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity, take initiative, and turn incomplete information into clear problem statements and priorities.
• Strong business and analytical judgement with experience assessing market demand, customer needs, and measurable outcomes.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, coach product practices, and align with senior leaders, technical partners, sales teams, and clients.
• Excellent communication skills for aligning senior leaders and stakeholders, including explaining strategic recommendations and tradeoffs.
• Experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or technology serving government or regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess product opportunities based on customer needs, market demand, and business value.
• Establish measurable success criteria, including revenue growth, adoption, and customer outcomes.
• Continuously evaluate progress against outcomes and adjust priorities as needed.
• Provide structure to ambiguous information by defining problems, clarifying priorities, and developing plans.
• Maintain visibility of portfolio lifecycle and upcoming opportunities.
• Communicate portfolio work and rationale to teams and stakeholders.
• Make tradeoffs and risks explicit to enable informed decisions.
• Sequence work to maximize customer and business value.
