Job summary

Nuveen, a TIAA company, seeks a Director for Private Infrastructure investments to manage and monitor private fund and joint venture equity holdings across transportation, energy, and digital sectors in a leadership capacity.

You will represent Nuveen on boards and LPACs, lead sourcing and due diligence for new investments, and collaborate with senior staff on financial modeling and portfolio strategy to drive value creation and risk management.

Qualifications

• 3 + years of institutional private equity investment experience with an emphasis on portfolio management, reporting and client relationship management across direct joint ventures, GP fund commitments, and co-investments.
• Prior investment experience with infrastructure assets.
• MBA or CFA (Preferred)
• 8 + years of institutional private equity investment experience with an emphasis on portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and attend sourcing, investment committee presentations, and monitoring & surveillance meetings.
• Assist portfolio manager in client reporting and responding to inquiries from business partners in Risk, Accounting and Finance.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis for investments to share with external clients, internal business partners including portfolio managers, legal, and compliance.
• Portfolio activities include firm representation at investor board meetings and portfolio management reviews with the portfolio manager and external clients.
• Lead the underwriting and analysis for primary GP fund commitments and co-investments; drive legal documentation and investment structuring.
• Source transactions through industry contacts and assess them for portfolio fit and team resource capacity.
