Job summary

Setpoint is seeking a Director to lead sales coverage in asset-backed finance and private credit. You will leverage an expansive network to generate new business, open doors, and drive deals from inquiry to close.

You will partner with senior leadership to shape account strategies, expand across asset classes, and represent Setpoint at industry events. A hybrid role based in New York with regular travel offers significant growth potential.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5–8 years in asset-backed finance or private credit.
• Established network across credit funds, banks, or originators.
• Strong deal sensing and relationship-building ability.
• Comfort with senior stakeholders and fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop relationships with banks, credit funds, originators, and other institutions to generate new business.
• Leverage your network to open doors, build a pipeline, and create opportunities.
• Own coverage of a portfolio of institutions and identify product-fit value.
• Partner with MDs and sales leadership to develop account strategies and close deals.
• Develop deep coverage-market expertise and help expand into adjacent asset classes.
• Work with Product and cross-functional teams to relay client needs and feedback.
• Represent Setpoint at industry events and client meetings to strengthen relationships.
• Help scale coverage, pipeline, and go-to-market execution as the business grows.
