The Design Director sets the vision for the best user experience. You will create a space for cross-functional partners to collaborate effectively. You will use your knowledge of and experience in the Design Thinking process to collaborate with partner teams, facilitate conversations, create concepts, run design sprints, and build rapid prototypes to test and learn from users, informing prioritization and impact. Working with partners to determine a shared plan that balances business, user, and technology considerations, you will create and champion an engaging and highly usable experience, delivering pixel-perfect detailed designs with your team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

1. Lead a team of designers partnering with research, content strategy, data science, legal and compliance, product management, and engineering teams to establish modern best practices for end-to-end experience design and delivery, including research, journey mapping, personas, storyboards, concept designs, prototyping, and final production designs.
2. Express yourself as a considerate thinker who sees the big picture while understanding business objectives, integrating viability, desirability, and feasibility into design decisions.
3. Drive the experience with an outcomes focus, actively scanning the end-to-end experience for new approaches and blending ideas to challenge the team with creative solutions.
4. Lead as an accountable achiever, raising performance standards and taking responsibility for your actions.
5. Build trust-based relationships across boundaries, encouraging collaboration and communicating impactfully.

• Collaborate with various teams to define and execute end-user experiences, setting quality standards.
• Lead and support a team of designers and design leads, supporting strategic goals.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

• 7+ years in UX design or management, with experience in enterprise, consumer, and mobile platform design within agile environments.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, InVision, and Miro.
• Innovative mindset with a test-and-learn approach.
