Job summary

SiriusXM is seeking a Director of Planning & Portfolio Management to lead the enterprise portfolio function within a large-scale media/tech environment. You will govern portfolio operations, drive AI-enabled insights, and align planning, budgeting, and governance across Tempo, EOS, Jira, and Databricks.

You will manage a geographically distributed team, partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Ops leaders, and shape the operating model to scale governance, data quality, and decision

Qualifications

• 10+ years in portfolio management, program management, or technical operations in a large tech/media org.
• 5+ years of management experience leading teams or multi-disciplinary portfolios.
• Strong financial acumen with CapEx/ OpEx and investment reporting.
• Experience driving AI, automation, and tooling strategies for portfolio ops.
• Vendor management experience and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Planning & Portfolio function, including governance, data, reporting, and artifacts.
• Drive AI and modern work tools to reduce manual effort and improve insight.
• Own quarterly and annual planning, portfolio intake, prioritization, and roadmap governance.
• Ensure data integrity across Tempo, EOS, Jira, Databricks for exec reporting.
• Oversee portfolio rollups for multiple business units and leaders.
• Establish standards for data quality, metadata, and delivery health.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Ops leaders for informed decisions.
• Lead governance mechanisms for visibility of work, risk, and tradeoffs.
• Develop and mature portfolio tooling, analytics, and AI-enabled knowledge systems.
• Coach and develop a geographically distributed team, including managers.
• Own planning, staffing, budgeting, vendor inputs, and change implementation.
• Serve as escalation point for data issues, gaps, and governance challenges.
