Job summary

Jobgether SRL seeks a Director of Software Engineering, Platform Services in the United States. You will define the strategy for internal developer platforms, lead multiple engineering teams, and scale AI-assisted development with guardrails and templates.

You will own the developer experience, tooling, and shared services, ensuring security, reliability, and performance while aligning with business goals. Fully remote work with occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in technical software development/platform engineering/enterprise services.
• 5+ years in supervisory/leadership roles managing multiple teams.
• Track record delivering internal tooling or shared services with broad adoption.
• Experience leading AI-assisted software development initiatives at scale.
• Experience owning production services with SLOs and on-call.
• Consolidating duplicated capabilities into centralized platforms.
• Strong knowledge of modern developer tooling and practices.
• Strategic thinking translating business goals into technical roadmaps.
• Data-driven decisions to measure productivity and platform impact.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, roadmap, and operating model for Platform Services.
• Lead multiple teams for internal developer platforms and shared services.
• Define AI-assisted development approaches, including governance and guardrails.
• Develop golden-path templates, scaffolds, and reference implementations.
• Own developer experience and inner-loop tooling, including environments and automation.
• Deliver and operate shared services with SLAs, incident response, and on-call.
• Drive platform adoption across product teams with reliable, secure paths.
• Collaborate with pipelines, cloud, security, and runtime teams for integration.
• Establish metrics on productivity, adoption, and business impact.
• Evaluate build/buy/open-source options for long-term scalability.
