Job summary

BridgePoint Associates, LLC. seeks a Director of Planned Giving for a highly regarded national nonprofit in the Northern Virginia area. This hybrid role offers relocation assistance and leads a growing planned giving program supported by a team of three Planned Giving Officers.

The director will drive the annual target toward $13M, manage gift lifecycles, mentor staff, collaborate with the broader development team, steward legacy donors, and oversee planned giving marketing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in fundraising or nonprofit development
• Proven experience managing staff and teams
• Strong knowledge of planned giving and tax implications

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the organization’s planned giving program with growth to meet annual targets
• Manage full lifecycle of fundraising for planned giving prospects
• Mentor and supervise a team of Planned Giving Officers (3)
• Collaborate with development team to secure gifts involving planned gifts
• Oversee legacy society stewardship and donor relations
• Coordinate planned giving marketing efforts
• Review and administer documentation for planned gifts
