Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience in healthcare administration, business, nursing or related field.
• Progressive leadership experience in physician services, medical group administration, or hospital-based physician operations.
• Strong understanding of hospital and ambulatory operations, continuum of care, and physician alignment strategies within an integrated delivery system.
• Demonstrated financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and managing operational resources in a healthcare system.
• Experience with regulatory compliance, accreditation standards (including Joint Commission), and quality improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills with physicians, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Physician Services department by aligning people, processes, and resources with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
• Develop and execute departmental plans, policies, and performance standards that support clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee physician practice operations ensuring high-quality patient care, efficient workflows and issue resolution.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team with hiring, onboarding, performance management and development.
• Drive workforce excellence through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and continuing education.
• Manage departmental financial performance by budgeting, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring stewardship of resources.
• Direct and support internal and external audit activities ensuring regulatory and organizational compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and cross-functional teams to drive growth and provider engagement.
• Leverage data and performance metrics to identify improvements and enhance patient/provider experience.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement in coordinated patient-centered care.
