Job summary

City of Hope in California seeks a Senior Director, Philanthropy Patient Liaison Program to lead a high-visibility initiative that blends donor engagement with patient care across site locations. You will oversee the PPLP Navigation team, coordinate HIPAA-compliant donor interactions, and partner with clinical and philanthropy leaders to align programs with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field is required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in a hospital or healthcare environment with patient care operations exposure.
• At least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a customer-service oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with physicians, donors, patients and executives.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, judgment, decision-making and delegation abilities.
• Experience analyzing operational metrics and driving improvements.
• Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, integrity and superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Philanthropy Patient Liaison Program across site locations with focus on patient and donor experiences.
• Serve as a liaison between Office of Philanthropy, clinical teams, physicians, and site leadership.
• Manage and develop the PPLP Navigation team with coaching and oversight.
• Steward current and prospective donors and document HIPAA-compliant interactions.
• Coordinate patient and family navigation services, ensuring appointments and communications are executed with excellence.
• Oversee Asana tracking, KPI dashboards, reporting processes, and performance metrics.
• Provide strategic insights to philanthropy leadership on patient experiences and growth opportunities.
• Direct day-to-day site operations and align local workflows with enterprise standards.
• Allocate resources, delegate tasks, and ensure execution of program objectives.
• Represent City of Hope with professionalism while supporting special projects and committees.
