Job summary

VIP Medical Group is seeking a Director, Patient Financial Services & Clearance to lead four critical functions: Prior Authorization, Insurance & Benefits Verification, Verification, and Patient Financial Services. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the COO.

You will build scalable processes, reduce backlogs, automate workflows with Technology and Data teams, and coach managers to deliver a better patient financial experience while maintaining strong cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years of progressive healthcare operations, revenue cycle, financial clearance, patient financial services, or related experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience with managers, supervisors, or multi-functional teams.
• Significant experience with prior authorization and/or financial clearance operations.
• Strong understanding of insurance eligibility and benefits verification.
• Experience with patient financial services, financial counseling, patient billing support, payment arrangements, or related patient-facing financial operations.
• Demonstrated success improving operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop managers, supervisors and operational teams.
• Improve Prior Authorization turnaround times and reduce aged inventory.
• Build stronger insurance and benefits-verification processes.
• Improve LOMN and documentation workflows.
• Create a better patient financial experience.
• Reduce unnecessary rework and manual administrative work.
