Job summary

UMass Amherst's Parking Services seeks a Director to provide strategic leadership for the campus parking program, overseeing operations, enforcement, infrastructure planning, and financial administration for over 12,500 spaces.

The role manages a diverse team, develops budgets, engages with campus departments and external partners, and drives improvements in service delivery while ensuring compliance with university policies and equity goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years in parking/transport management, with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Class "D" Driver's License.
• Experience in budget development, financial analysis, and revenue management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements long-range plans for parking operations, infrastructure, and technology.
• Oversees parking operations, permit systems, garage management, enforcement, ticket processing, and maintenance.
• Directs department budgets over $7 million and oversees revenue, rate setting, and financial reporting.
• Leads a diverse team, handles recruitment, training, performance management, and development.
• Represents the University in public forums and liaises with campus departments and external stakeholders.
