Job summary

The University of Vermont seeks a strategic, experienced Director of Transportation & Parking Services to lead all aspects of campus mobility. You will drive parking administration, transit programs, and sustainability initiatives while developing long-range mobility plans and overseeing budgets, staff, and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7–10 years’ leadership experience in transportation, parking or facilities.
• Experience managing budgets, personnel, and complex operations with policy development.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
• Experience in public service with budget oversight and personnel management.
• Experience in transportation demand management and collaborating with regional partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational direction for transportation and parking services.
• Oversee parking administration, enforcement, transit programs and fleet support.
• Develop long-range mobility strategies and manage department finances and personnel.
• Collaborate with campus partners, municipal agencies and regional transportation bodies.
• Ensure safe, customer-focused and financially sound transportation programs.
