Job summary

University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking a Director of Parking Services to provide strategic leadership for the university's comprehensive parking program. This role oversees operations, enforcement, infrastructure planning, financial administration, and policy development for a system with over 12,500 spaces across surface lots and garages.

The Director will lead a diverse team, manage a multi-million dollar budget, and ensure high-quality, customer-focused services that align with campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; seven or more years in parking/transportation with leadership experience.
• Class D Driver's License.
• Experience in budget development, financial analysis, and revenue management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with parking technologies, data systems, and customer service platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develops long-range plans for parking operations, infrastructure, and technology.
• Oversees parking operations including permits, garages, enforcement, tickets, signage and meters.
• Directs departmental budgeting and financial reporting for a multi-million dollar program.
• Leads a diverse team of staff and students; oversees recruitment and development.
• Manages maintenance and capital improvements of parking facilities; coordinates with Facilities and vendors.
