Job summary

Green Thumb is recruiting a Director of Production Optimization to lead packaging operations, LEAN execution, and cross-site scheduling across its manufacturing network. The role drives continuous improvement to improve throughput, yield, and quality while aligning packaging lines with demand signals and regulatory requirements.

This remote role requires 50% travel and close collaboration with Packaging Engineering, Procurement, and the Continuous Improvement team to deliver sustained results

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field
• 4+ years of progressive manufacturing operations experience with packaging/production ownership
• Proven track record leading LEAN/continuous-improvement transformations with quantified results (OEE, changeover, scrap, throughput)
• Working knowledge of production scheduling, MRP/MPS, and S&OP in regulated/high-mix environments
• Familiarity with Batch Production Records, SOPs, GMP, and CAPA processes
• Fluency with ERP/MRP (D365) and project-tracking tools; reporting/BI skills a plus

Responsibilities

• Own finished goods packaging execution across all sites and product forms, ensuring specification and label accuracy.
• Lead LEAN deployment and standard work across production/packaging.
• Coordinate with Packaging Engineering and Procurement on BOM accuracy and on-line readiness.
• Oversee production scheduling alignment with master plan and demand signals.
• Drive quality-at-the-source collaboration and ensure compliance with regulatory labeling rules.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate priorities into scoped projects with clear metrics.
