Job summary

Green Thumb Industries (GTI) is seeking a Technical Engineer - Packaging to design, develop, and optimize packaging and automation solutions for production across multiple facilities. You will balance protection, cost, regulatory requirements, and brand standards while collaborating with Brand and Product Development to turn concepts into scalable production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in Packaging Engineering or Technical Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in packaging engineering within regulated consumer goods/manufacturing (food & beverage, pharma, nutraceuticals).
• Cannabis industry experience or other highly regulated environments desired.
• Travel up to 50% to GTI sites.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate packaging solutions for production facilities across multiple sites.
• Lead packaging automation system design and implementation with cross-functional teams.
• Perform IQ, OQ, and PQ validations for new packaging equipment and processes.
• Support maintenance turnover, spare parts planning, and equipment documentation.
• Travel to GTI sites to scope and implement packaging processes.
• Provide ongoing technical support and continuous improvement for packaging equipment.
