Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Director of ORM Methodology and Reporting to lead the development and enhancement of operational risk methodologies, frameworks, and reporting across the enterprise. You will translate complex risk data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership, risk committees, and the Board.

The role requires close collaboration with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit and business units to mature risk practices and drive adoption of core requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 12+ years in operational risk management or equivalent
• Progressive leadership in risk management, internal controls, audit, or related field
• Deep knowledge of risk management principles, process mapping, and control testing
• Strong analytical ability to identify risk trends and assess controls
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple initiatives
• Attention to detail and sound judgment in risk decisions
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to engage with senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for ORM methodology and standards enterprise-wide.
• Oversee ORM policy, framework, and reporting (RCSA/PRA, scenarios, KRIs, issues).
• Develop enterprise risk reporting, dashboards, and forward-looking insights for Board discussions.
• Translate risk information into clear, actionable narratives for leadership and risk committees.
• Advise Risk leadership on complex risk matters, control effectiveness, and risk acceptance.
• Governance and execution of risk issue management, remediation, and reporting.
• Embed ORM practices in major initiatives and ensure proactive risk identification.
• Provide second-line challenge to process design and control improvements.
