Thuma is seeking a Director of Home Delivery to own and scale our outbound logistics, White Glove delivery, and carrier strategy across Parcel, Freight, and final-mile networks. This role leads a team and partners with Distribution, Fulfillment Operations, Customer Experience, Finance, Retail, and Executive Leadership to reduce cost while elevating delivery quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in outbound logistics or supply chain, with big-and-bulky home furnishings delivery.
• Experience building or managing a white glove final-mile delivery network across markets.
• 4+ years of people leadership, coaching managers.
• Track record leading carrier RFPs, rate negotiations, and contract renewals.
• Experience owning annual transportation budgets with cost and quality accountability.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy, performance, and cost of outbound logistics across Parcel, Freight, and White Glove.
• Manage executive relationships with outbound carriers; lead QBRs.
• Champion the customer delivery experience at all touchpoints.
• Set delivery SOPs with Customer Experience; resolve root causes.
• Lead carrier negotiations, RFPs, and contract renewals for best cost/quality.
• Own outbound cost targets; reduce shipping costs while maintaining quality.
• Own outbound KPIs: delivery quality, damage rates, transit time, cost per order.
• Design and expand the delivery network; onboard new carriers.
• Drive middle-mile optimization via lane consolidation and routing.
• Lead transit damage reduction with Packaging, Product, and carriers.
• Leverage TMS, AI, and automation to optimize rating and routing.
• Own outbound quality and spend reporting with executive commentary.
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing outbound logistics team.
• Foster ownership, cost discipline, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement.
