Job summary

Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is seeking a Director of Wellness, Retail, and Club 1927 to lead spa, retail and fitness operations in a luxury resort setting.

You'll shape the strategic wellness vision, oversee daily activities, and drive guest satisfaction and revenue through innovative programs and cross-department collaboration. A strong hospitality background and senior leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a director in luxury spa preferred.
• Strong knowledge of spa operations and retail.
• Ability to drive financial and guest satisfaction metrics.
• Familiarity with spa software like Book4Time, Opera.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Spa, Retail, Fitness, and Club 1927 Membership; ensure service excellence.
• Develop, communicate and implement the strategic vision for the Spa and wellness initiatives.
• Lead innovation in wellness concepts and guest-centric programming.
• Serve as the wellness trends expert across departments to embed experiences.
• Utilize data-driven insights to exceed revenue goals and adapt to trends.
• Develop long-term plans for growth, capital investment, and operations.
• Lead by example; coach daily and ensure guest touchpoints meet service standards.
• Drive departmental financial performance: revenue, costs, payroll, profitability.
• Inspire and develop a talented team; collaborate with Sales & Marketing on promotions.
• Foster continuous improvement using guest feedback and staff insights.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment with health and safety protocols.
• Follow department policies and procedures; handle other duties as assigned.
