Job summary

ADP is hiring a Director of UX Design to lead a small design team within our enterprise-grade platform. You’ll balance hands-on design work with governance, building scaffolding and maintaining a high quality bar across domains.

This role requires senior UX craft, systems thinking, and the ability to influence product partners, engineers, and leadership while advancing GenAI-powered experiences for enterprise payroll and HR solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on UX design experience.
• Led and developed other designers with feedback.
• Active practitioner with recent IC work in portfolio.
• Built or significantly influenced a design governance/review process.
• Credible in technical conversations with product managers, engineers, and platform architects.
• Integrated GenAI/LLM tooling into workflows and experience with AI-powered interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small team of designers.
• Establish design governance and review processes.
• Contribute hands-on as an IC across product domains (interaction design, flows, prototypes, visuals).
• Represent design in product planning, engineering discussions, and leadership reviews.
• Push back with design evidence and market data when proposals lack clarity.
