Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Utility BESS EPC Project Director to lead large-scale EPC and service projects in the energy infrastructure sector. You will direct multi-discipline teams, manage client relationships, and drive performance across cost, schedule, safety, and quality.

The role requires extensive experience in EPC with energy storage, transmission, or generation projects, coupled with strong leadership, risk management, and contract administration skills. Travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.
• 12 years of progressive EPC experience in utilities/energy.
• Experience leading large, multi-office EPC projects with P&L accountability.
• Strong contract administration and risk management capabilities.
• Proven leadership of senior project teams and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee large EPC/Service projects, from proposal through closeout.
• Lead project teams across multiple disciplines ensuring safety, quality and schedule.
• Manage client relationships and contract negotiations for major programs.
• Develop delivery strategies, staffing plans and resource management.
• Monitor financial performance including revenue, costs and margins.
