Job summary
The Director of Utility Interconnection at TeraWulf will lead utility engagement, transmission planning, and interconnection activities for hyperscale data center developments. You will secure reliable power, advance interconnection requests, and coordinate across utilities, regulators, and EPC partners to keep milestones on schedule.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years in utility or large infrastructure projects, extensive experience with PJM/MISO/NYISO/ERCOT, and a track record negotiating
Qualifications
- 10+ years of utility, transmission, or large infrastructure development experience.
- 5+ years managing utility interconnections for projects over 100 MW.
- Experience with hyperscale data centers, power generation, renewables, or transmission.
- Negotiated utility interconnection contracts in ISO/RTOs (PJM, MISO, NYISO, ERCOT).
- Familiarity with FERC, NERC, and state utility regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead utility engagement strategy for hyperscale data center developments (100 MW to 2+ GW).
- Identify service territories, transmission availability, and interconnection options.
- Develop due diligence reports to support acquisition decisions.
- Negotiate interconnection costs, schedules, and commercial terms.
- Coordinate with ISOs/RTOs and regulatory agencies.
- Manage interconnection applications, studies, and network upgrades.
