Job summary

One Alliance North America seeks a Director of Underwriting to provide strategic leadership for Commercial and Personal Lines underwriting. You will drive profitable risk selection, quality, and efficiency while partnering with Product, Sales, Claims, and IT to execute growth strategies in a competitive market from Orlando, on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of carrier underwriting experience.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive underwriting leadership.
• Experience across multiple lines of business preferred.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute underwriting strategies for profitable growth across Commercial and Personal Lines.
• Establish appetite, guidelines, and risk selection standards.
• Monitor portfolio performance and market trends; adjust actions as needed.
• Collaborate with Product, Actuarial, and Sales to evaluate profitability and positioning.
• Lead underwriting education, training, and talent development programs.
• Represent underwriting in senior leadership reviews and governance.
