Job summary
Bimbo Bakeries USA seeks a seasoned Director of Supply Chain Logistics – Transportation to lead transportation strategy across the Central Business Unit in the United States. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 8 years in transportation.
- Experience supervising/leading a transportation team.
- Experience with dynamic routing tools and imports/exports is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Transportation Optimization: leads cost savings programs and improves delivery efficiency.
- Manage 3rd party contracts and carrier relationships; guide RFP processes.
- Develop routing guides and a KPI framework to improve performance.
- Coordinate with regional operations and corporate transport teams.
- Mentor teams across multiple facilities and monitor freight claims.
