Job summary

Church Brothers Farms, a Salinas-based grower, processor, and shipper of fresh vegetables, seeks a Director of Transportation & Logistics (US/MX) to lead end-to-end freight, cross-border logistics, and appointment loading. Reporting to the COO, you will own the freight P&L, carrier network, and cold-chain discipline.

The role requires 10+ years in transportation and logistics leadership, experience with perishable product logistics, and strong analytics using TMS/Tableau/Excel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive transportation and logistics leadership.
• Experience leading transportation for perishable, temperature-controlled products preferred.
• Proven track record reducing freight claims, retail fines, and freight loss through structural change.

Responsibilities

• Own freight end-to-end strategy, cost, carrier network, cold chain, service performance.
• Manage freight P&L and carrier standards, and implement bill-back policies.
• Lead cross-border logistics and appointment loading across US/MX.
• Develop and execute carrier procurement strategies including RFPs.
• Establish and monitor SOPs, KPIs, and continuous improvement plans.
