Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. seeks a Director of Transportation & Supply Chain Engineering to set strategic direction for transportation and lead the supply chain leadership team.

You will oversee transportation operations, carrier management, procurement, and optimization to deliver cost savings and service improvements. The role requires 10+ years in related fields and 5+ years in management, with expertise in large-scale carrier contracts, benchmarking, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Logistics or Business required or related experience.
• Minimum 10+ years of related experience required.
• Minimum 5+ years of management experience.
• Experience in transportation operations and pricing across large networks.
• Experience with carrier sourcing, procurement, and contract negotiations.
• Lean or Six Sigma continuous improvement experience required.
• Strong Excel and data-analytic capabilities.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation and carrier strategies to optimize cost, service, and network performance.
• Manage transportation spend and budget performance to meet the annual operating plan.
• Lead transportation procurement activities including carrier bid events and contract negotiations.
• Establish and govern carrier performance management programs and scorecards.
• Coordinate transportation capacity planning with carriers, 3PLs, distribution centers, and stakeholders.
• Act as executive escalation point for capacity, pricing and service issues.
• Identify and implement transportation optimization opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
• Develop transportation analytics and reporting to support data-driven decisions.
• Lead continuous improvement and process re-engineering across transportation and supply chain operations.
• Build and mentor high-performing transportation and supply chain teams.
