Goodwill Industries Of Central Florida seeks a senior transportation and logistics leader to oversee the organization’s transport and warehouse operations. You will drive world-class strategic initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of donated goods to stores and distribution centers.
The role requires strong leadership, fleet management expertise, and extensive knowledge of transportation regulations to guide a high-performance team.
Responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the transportation and warehouse operations across the organization. Your primary objective will be to develop and execute "World Class" strategic initiatives to optimize transportation efficiency, minimize costs, enhance operational performance, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of donated goods to our retail stores, distribution centers, and from our donation locations. Major duties include monitoring and coordinating all equipment maintenance, repair, acquisition, and disposal, DOT training and compliance for drivers and forklift operators, and movement of goods throughout the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve seamless integration and alignment of transportation and logistics activities within the organization.

High School education or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred. A minimum of at least eight (8) to ten (10) years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management. Prefer working experience with people who have disabilities and/or previous Goodwill experience.
Level 4: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Knowledge and understanding of Global Positioning Satellite (GPS).
This position has supervisory responsibilities including supervision of subordinate supervisors.
Purchasing Authority - Directors/Controller - up to $2,500
Level 5: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication. Ability to present information to groups.
Level 5: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record and current private auto insurance policy.
