Job summary

Williams, Inc. is seeking a Director of Transportation to lead our transportation operations, train staff on safety and policy, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to meet logistics needs. The role focuses on fleet safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least two years of transportation management experience, with strong Excel skills and knowledge of union contracts and government regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in logistics, business management, engineering, or related field.
At least 2 years' experience as a transportation manager in a similar industry.
Solid knowledge of the transportation industry and logistics.
Experience with union contracts and transportation-related government regulations.
Experience with transport management systems and warehouse management software.
Advanced computer skills, specifically Excel.
Ability to translate financial information into clear business language.
Knowledge of federal regulations on taxes and reporting.

Responsibilities

Train all employees on company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and customer service.
Coordinate with departments to ensure transportation needs are met.
Manage fleet safety and maintenance across the company.
Maintain vehicle maintenance schedules and order parts if needed.
Maintain relationships with vendors to obtain favorable pricing for fuel or other materials.
Establish and enforce safety rules and regulations for passenger transportation.
