Job summary

W.W. Williams Company is seeking a Director of Asset Management to own the lifecycle of approximately 1,000 vehicles and related assets, including fleet planning, upfitting, and disposal.

The role also manages leased real estate and indirect vendor partnerships to optimize costs and service levels. The candidate will oversee a cross-functional team, drive utilization, and ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA requirements while coordinating with Safety, Finance, and IT.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in fleet asset management, corporate real estate and facilities, or indirect procurement.
• Experience managing a third-party fleet management provider to defined service levels and lifecycle economics.
• Experience with multi-site leased real estate portfolio management including renewals and CAM reconciliation.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA requirements and driver qualification considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of ~1,000 vehicles, trailers and heavy equipment from acquisition to disposal.
• Oversee real estate footprint across locations, including lease negotiations and renewals.
• Manage indirect vendor relationships and drive measurable year-over-year savings.
• Partner with Finance to develop capital plans and total cost of ownership analyses.
• Deliver monthly asset and vendor performance reporting to senior leadership.
