Job summary

QISG is seeking a Director of Engineering - Transmission Line to lead engineering teams responsible for design, construction, maintenance, and upgrades of high-voltage transmission infrastructure. You will drive safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across projects from planning through execution.

The role requires extensive leadership experience in electric utilities, an ABET-accredited engineering degree, and a P.E. license.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in electric utility engineering or management for high voltage projects.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• P.E. license required.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical professionals.
• Oversee planning, design, and execution of transmission and substation projects while ensuring regulatory alignment.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and resource plans; deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Manage risks and resolve issues impacting scope, quality, and delivery.
• Provide technical guidance in design and optimization of transmission and substation systems.
