Job summary

Quanta Services is seeking a Director of Engineering for Substation to oversee the planning, design, and execution of high‑voltage substations. You will manage a team of engineers, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive innovation and efficiency across transmission projects.

The role requires 15+ years in the electric utility field, a P.E. license, and an ABET‑accredited electrical engineering degree. Strong leadership and budget management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in electric utility engineering or management of high voltage projects.
• P.E. license required and ABET‑accredited degree in electrical engineering.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time and budget.
• Strong knowledge of electrical utility engineering standards and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design, and implementation of substation projects.
• Lead and mentor engineers and technical staff.
• Ensure projects meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and resource plans; manage risks and issues.
