Job summary

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• 5–10 years managing training functions in a complex organization.
• Experience in adult education, learning and development, or leadership development.
• Proficient in writing and designing training materials; strong presentation skills.
• Experience in a union environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct all activities of the Training Department, including Training Manager, Coordinators and Instructors.
• Design and develop training programs for DTO employees.
• Oversee Leadership Academy planning, budgeting, speakers and applications.
• Coordinate Maintenance Apprenticeship Program with CAO and unions.
• Identify grants with Capital Grants Administrator for education programs.
• Set learning objectives and instructional methods.
• Lead strategy development and influence senior leadership.
• Maintain records and report on training impact and costs.
