New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) seeks a Chief of Training to lead the USB Training Academy, oversee entry-level and advanced training, and ensure high-quality education for field officers involved in complex enforcement operations. The role emphasizes judgment, regulatory knowledge, and collaboration with partner agencies.

The position requires extensive supervisory experience in criminal justice or law enforcement, with a focus on de-escalation and instructor credentials.

Competenze

• Minimum of six years full-time experience in criminal justice or law enforcement with at least 18 months in administrative/managerial/supervisory roles.
• Education substitutions allowed: one year of college for six months of experience; master's degree may substitute for up to one additional year of general experience.

Mansioni

• Oversee TLC USB Training Academy and all instructor-led training programs (entry-level, advanced, and in-service).
• Develop and distribute training materials and SOPs; coordinate with Legal Division to ensure quality training for field officers.
• Schedule personnel for training, seminars, and ceremonies; coordinate with NYS DCJS, NYPD, PANY/NJ Police, and other agencies to align training standards; evaluate training contracts with outside vendors.
