The Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) in New York City seeks a Chief of Training to lead the USB Training Academy, directing entry-level and ongoing training for field officers and inspectors. This role demands coordinating with the Legal Division and partner agencies to ensure high-quality education and consistent enforcement standards.

Competenze

• A four year high school diploma or its equivalent, and six years of full-time experience in criminal justice or law enforcement; at least eighteen months in an administrative, managerial, executive capacity or supervising enforcement personnel.
• Education may substitute for work experience at a rate of one year of college for six months of experience, up to four years college for two years experience.
• A master’s degree may substitute for up to one additional year of general experience.

• Oversee TLC’s Uniformed Services Bureau Training Academy, including entry-level, advanced and specialized training.
• Plan, organize, implement and coordinate the Training Academy, and develop educational materials.
• Coordinate with TLC’s Legal Division and other agencies to ensure high-quality training and continued education for officers and inspectors.
• Schedule personnel for training, seminars and ceremonies and manage facilities.
