Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with 12 years of practical experience including 4 years of supervisory experience, or
• In lieu of degree, 16 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and operational supervision to a large group of professionals in two or more technical discipline areas.
• Ensures the technical, administrative, direct labor and schedule targets for the group are met.
• Responsible for the management, performance, growth and professional development of the full technical group.
• Builds strong client relationships with new and existing clients, leveraging those relationships to generate opportunities for new work.
• Establishes goals and objectives, assesses performance and provides ongoing feedback.
• Takes a leadership role in understanding the client needs, balancing needs of HNTB and employees.
• Recruits, hires, develops and retains the group's staff, including development of plan for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession.
• Leads a group including the direct and indirect supervision of at least 25 but typically 35-40 or more employees.
