Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Technology to lead all aspects of technology operations at our premier arena. This role is responsible for overseeing technical services, IT infrastructure, network administration, software and hardware allocation, contractor management, and cybersecurity compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all technology functions, including IT, technical services, AV, network administration, and contractor selection.
• Oversee and develop technology staff, including managers and supervisors, through hiring, training, performance management, and employee development.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, PCI requirements, and operational protocols across arena systems.
• Develop, implement, and train staff on technology procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, emergency plans, and security protocols.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement processes for technology goods and services.
• Plan and execute multi-site technology initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, and innovation.
• Serve as a decision-maker for the Operations Department in the absence of the Senior Director of Facility Operations and Capital Projects.
• Participate in planning and execution of arena events, ensuring smooth coordination with contractors, staff, and tenants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of progressive IT management experience in live event or venue settings;
• Proven experience leading a technology team in a multi-site operations environment.
• 5+ years experience with IT disciplines including hardware, software, data and device security, phone systems, video conferencing, and network connectivity.
• Advanced expertise in Windows & Mac OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS, and Cisco/Ruckus/Extreme networking technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, budgets, and technology procurement efficiently.
