Job description

The client is seeking a visionary Vice President of Technology to lead the enterprise technology function and, as a near-term priority, build the technology foundation for a new major-league venue in Chicago. This role will own the venue technology strategy and delivery program from design and construction through commissioning, opening readiness, and ongoing operations, ensuring the technology ecosystem is integrated, resilient, secure, scalable, and able to support a world-class fan experience across a diverse calendar of matches, concerts, and other events.

As a strategic partner and enterprise leader, the Vice President of Technology will set the technology vision and roadmap for the club and the venue, oversee enterprise IT functions, and drive responsible innovation, including the practical and responsible use of artificial intelligence. The role will build a high-performing team and partner network to support multiple facilities and always-on venue and business operations, and provide dotted-line leadership to support sporting-related technology and innovation initiatives that align competitive performance, data, and emerging technologies with organizational goals.

The client seeks a collaborative, forward-thinking leader with direct experience in stadium, arena, or major live-event technology, along with a track record of building and operating complex, always-on environments. The ideal candidate will translate long-term strategy into disciplined design and execution of technology systems and operations that scale, endure, and evolve. The Vice President of Technology is expected to influence the organization’s digital backbone and shape how live events are experienced by fans, reporting to the Chief Legal and Administrative Officer.
