Job summary

LHH is seeking a Director of Technology to join our client's team in a full-time, hybrid role based in Alameda County, CA. You will lead end-to-end IT operations, enterprise infrastructure, and cybersecurity, partnering with executive leadership to align technology with business goals.

You will drive digital transformation across an international manufacturing network, build a high-performing IT team, and embed a culture of quality and resilience in every platform and process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
  • 12+ years of demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide digital transformation, ERP modernization, cloud strategy, and cybersecurity initiatives in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success leading ERP modernization, cloud transformation, and data analytics initiatives (preferred experience with Oracle products).
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity, digital manufacturing, and enterprise integration.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategic priorities into technology enablement.
  • Experience in leading distributed technology teams and delivering technology initiatives across multiple international locations and business units.
  • Prior Manufacturing Technology Leadership experience
  • Proven ability to influence executives, drive organizational change, and translate business strategy into technology roadmaps.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP and executive team to develop and execute a digital transformation roadmap aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on technology trends, AI, ERP modernization, and data analytics opportunities that enhance customer value and competitiveness.
  • Define and lead the company’s IT vision, architecture, and governance model to support innovation, agility, and integration across all business units.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year digital transformation roadmap aligned with business objectives, innovation priorities, and IT modernization goals.
  • Serve as the primary advisor to leadership on technology opportunities, risks, and emerging trends, including cybersecurity and artificial intelligence governance.
  • Oversee the enterprise IT landscape, including ERP, CRM, MES, PLM, HRIS, and collaboration tools, ensuring reliability, scalability, and user satisfaction.
  • Lead modernization efforts, including cloud migration, cybersecurity resilience, and automation initiatives across order taking, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance.
  • Ensure robust business continuity, disaster recovery, and information security policies are in place.
  • Serve as the organization’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), overseeing information security governance, risk assessment, and incident response planning.
  • Implement a NIST-aligned cybersecurity framework and vendor risk management program to ensure compliance, data protection, and business resilience.
  • Oversee hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, implementing zero-trust architecture and endpoint management for secure scalability.

We are looking a visionary Director of Technology to shape, elevate, and future-proof our client's technology landscape across a premier global manufacturing organization. In this high-impact executive role, you will lead our end-to-end IT operations, enterprise infrastructure, and cybersecurity strategy. Working as a trusted strategic partner to executive leadership, you will seamlessly align modern technology with our overarching commercial goals—ensuring our global systems remain exceptionally efficient, secure, and built to scale alongside our client's expanding footprint.

As a champion for organizational change, you will inspire and empower a talented, high-performing IT team while cultivating a culture rooted in innovation, continuous improvement, and operational resilience. You will be instrumental in driving digital transformation across our international manufacturing network, leveraging cutting-edge tech to streamline processes and unlock new business opportunities. Above all, you will embed an uncompromising commitment to quality into every platform, project, and process under your stewardship, setting the benchmark for excellence across the entire company.

Salary & Benefits:

Operational Excellence
  • Develop and manage the IT budget with a focus on ROI, cost control, and value creation.
  • Implement best practices for IT project management, vendor management, and cybersecurity risk assessment.
  • Ensure service delivery excellence through a customer-first approach to internal IT support and infrastructure reliability.
Compliance & Business Continuity
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support validated systems and electronic records management.
  • Expand compliance oversight to include vendor risk management, incident response testing, and alignment with NIST and ISO 27001 standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring organizational readiness and resilience.
Leadership & Culture
  • Build and lead a high-performing technology organization focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
