Director of Technology

Summary

Our client is seeking a Director of Technology to lead technology strategy in support of business transformation, data and analytics structure, cybersecurity, and operational technology capabilities that leverage digital innovation to create measurable and sustainable business value for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead company technology strategy and roadmap.
• Advance data, analytics, and AI capabilities
• Ensure business risks are mitigated while current platforms are modernized and technical debt is minimized.
• Develop and uplift the capability and skills of the IT organization.
• Drive a culture of innovation by identifying, incubating, and scaling emerging technologies and digital capabilities that differentiate the company and accelerate business value creation.
• Continuously assess and introduce innovative technologies (e.g., AI, automation, advanced analytics) to improve competitive advantage, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
• Execute accountability for:
  • Technology investment governance;
  • ERP, CRM and Cloud initiatives;
  • Cybersecurity management and business continuity;
  • IT/OT integration and MES enablement;
  • Talent development and succession planning;
  • Enterprise stakeholder management.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in leading an IT/OT function and managing within a complex and diverse IT structure; global organization
• Demonstrated experience transforming business through value creation within technology platforms including ERP and CRM.
• Manufacturing acumen with understanding of manufacturing systems including MES.
• Experience partnering with business leaders to align technology and innovation initiatives with business process transformation and business value creation.
• Experience promoting experimentation, adoption of emerging technologies, and continuous improvement of digital capabilities to unlock new sources of business value.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience in partnering within complex and matrixed businesses.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence key stakeholders to enable strategy development and implementation.
• Ability to translate strong technology acumen to strategic business value creation.
• Highly resilient; ability to lead and deliver in a matrixed environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Preferred

• Postgraduate degree in Business or Technology.
• Experience implementing modern MES platforms.
